Research in the United States of America (USA), Australia and United Kingdom suggests that when families of all backgrounds are engaged in their children’s learning, their children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and pursue higher education (Berthelsen & Walker, 2008; Harris & Goodall, 2008; Henderson & Mapp, 2002).
It has now been explicitly stated in both the Australian Professional Standards
for Principals and Australian Professional Standards
for Teachers. |
